When discussing information that is important to the topic of Macroeconomics, it is easy to understand what are the key topics and elements that play a vital role in the functioning of economics. A few of those very important topics are inflation and employment. Both characteristics have a huge part in economics as a whole. Both Americans and Europeans both shared a belief in the political and individual freedoms as well as a need for uniqueness in language and racial origins unlike the new racial ideology which advocated for free democratic republicanism. In the 19th and 20th century, these views towards American Indians did not change either since they were subject to enslavement. At this time, many social scientists thought that native people were inferior to the Native Americans and so were subject to them and they went ahead to provide the much needed scientific proof for racial distinctions. During this time also, many government officials too felt that it was the descendant of the Anglo-Saxons who played great roles in the establishment of free government and hence the justification for their superiority altitude. Due to this, the government passed policies that bound the immigrants to conform to the prevailing political, economic and social systems . These new polices from the American government led to the justification of sufferings and deaths of blacks, Mexicans and even Indians since any feelings of guilty which would come afterwards could be assuaged by assumptions of both historical and scientific inevitability. The general public also felt that Americans were the people who were destined to shape the destiny of the world and the other races were inferior and were doomed to permanent subordination or risk facing extinction. Lastly it’s worthy noting that the representation of native people held by social scientists, early anthropologists, the U. S. government, and the American public are not contradictory since they seem to place them high above all the other races in all aspects of life. This task has not been easy since it has been surrounded by a lot of controversies. Many criteria’s have been proposed as the best to apply when determining who the true Indians are. First, there are those who believe that the true measure of how Indian one is through the amount of ‘Indian blood’ in them. This criteria has been largely criticized since some people argue that there no true measure of the Indian blood that is present in someone since there are people who are born of one Asian parent while the other parent is from anther ethnic group. Secondly, there are others who believe that the true marker of a true Indian identity should be genealogy, private property and competence in civilization. This group of people argues that the true evidence of a true Indian should be based mostly on shared history between a person and other people who are known to be of an Indian background. Social ties with people from Indian or who have Indian blood in them could be acceptable as a true claim to one being an Indian. This means that one needed to trace his ancestors and prove that his roots are Indian by tracing his ancestors. Attachment to Indian culture was proposed to be criteria too for determining who true Indian was. This required someone to be aware of all cultural believes and behaviors of the Indian people. Early practices like hunting and others were argued to be very effective criteria for identifying who real Indians were. The ability to communicate in traditional Indian language was also advocated for by the people who shared this view. This controversy in the best criteria for separating true Indians and fake ones has been a big challenge to the Indian country since there still need for identifying who the true Indians. The American government is responsible for determining whether one is an American Indian or a Native American. The blood quantum criterion is used by the American government in the administration of Indian schools and land allotments. In census reports, this method of separating Indians and non Indians is applied. The society also can decide who a true Indian is through the application of cultural believes of indigenous Indians as well as their life styles. Scholars have not been left behind either and they too can use their knowledge and principles to differentiate between the two. The federal government of America uses several methods in determining whether someone is a Native American or not. Blood quantum is one of these criteria’s and it applies the idea of determining how much of American blood a person has in their body. In America, there is a settlement that is set aside for people of Indian origin. Any new person who may claim to be an Indian must have a proof of relationship with the already settled Indians in this land allocated to people of Indian backgrounds. The ability of some one to speak in Indian language and display cultural practices of Indians are acceptable by the federal government as true claims for an Indian. These criteria’s that are used by the government are not very different from those used by Native Americans in determining who a true Indian is. To begin with, the native communities look mostly at the cultural connection between a person and the community in question. This criterion requires someone to practice Indian cultural practices and have some ties with well known Indian families. Physical appearances as well as the ability to communicate in Indian languages are used too. Non-native Americans on their side, identify the native ones by the kind of lifestyles they lead. The Grand Wazoo by Frank Zappa free essay sample

The guy who embodies the term progressive rock to its fullest extent makes his debut on my album reviews with his last album. Frank Zappa has a sense of humor in his music it seems, from the way his album covers look to the always changing music that somehow, doesnt confuse you with your small brains, at least when compared to him. The Grand Wazoo is no exception, in fact, it sounds to me like one giant carnival if jazz and classic prog. He loves his wackiness and isnt afraid to show it off to the people of his fanbase. Only five tracks and about 35 minutes but with one 13 minute epic right at the beginning. What may you think of that? A downside or a benefit? For me, the length of the album is a but of both because while I could listen to it in a breeze, I feel like I want more after this but dont worry, I have more to listen to and review after this so sit down and be patient. This program also places the training in the first line of contact with the associates, the Assistant managers, Market manager, Store managers, and Co-managers, it is believed in the Walmart culture that associates having training with the first line of contact they are continuously training, and strengthening their skills. In 2007, Walmart started a program called Stores of Learning. In this program they use virtual classrooms to show chosen employees about the most effective methods of service delivery. Training and development isnt a only new employee training, its an ongoing event at Walmart. Its a very important part of an associates life (Career Development, 2010). Walmart uses skill assessments to determine, and improve their employee labor, and knowledge of their job skills. The company has instituted a program known as the Associate Investment model where supervisors evaluate employee competencies. This methods of employee assessment is particularly accurate owing to the fact that it allows the assessment of the evaluation process. This means that in case evaluation was done poorly, the company can detect it and makes their employees more prepared for future eventualities. (King, 2006) The company vigorously trains the employees, this helps Walmart to know that the employee is well trained in his job function and knows all the components of his job. Part one of the process is called on boarding. Since the employee must know his job, and all job functions, this can also be called the information phase. The next step is called the fundamental track phase. During this phase the employee is expected to know and understand the responsibilities associated within the scope of his job. Walmart hopes that this information helps the employee to better understand the function of his job and well as build a foundation from which to grow. The third phase of the program is called advanced track phase. In this area employees are taught how to plan their careers. For Walmart this is the portion of the training that guarantees that employees are aware, and knowledgeable in all the steps needed to prepare them for them to get to become promotable, and, or transferable to different positions within the company. Associates are urged to assess their own skills, and opportunities within Walmart,and to guage if they are tracking with the needed job criteria. George C. Marshall :: essays research papers

	George C. Marshall was born on December 31, 1880, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 1901 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. During World War I he was stationed in France and won acclaim for his direction of the Meuse-Argonne offensive. Before the offensive, Marshall was responsible for; the withdrawal of 200,000 men, and replacing them with 600,000 American soldiers, making sure that there were hospitals to treat the sick and wounded, moving more than 3,000 cannons and 40,000 tons of ammunition, all the while hiding these movements from the Germans by moving only at night. 	After World War I he was a high-level aide to General John J. Pershing. Prior to the outbreak of World War II he progressed steadily from assistant chief-of-staff of the U.S. Army (July, 1938) to deputy chief of staff (October, 1938), to chief of staff the following year. In 1944, Marshall was promoted to General of the Army. He spent a year in China in 1945-46 as President Truman's representative, attempting to bring about a peaceful resolution to the conflict between the nationalists and the communists. 	As Secretary of State from 1947 to 1949, he developed an economic program, the Marshall Plan, to help bring relief to war torn nations in Europe. The plan stipulated that the United States war prepared to assist Europe on certain terms. The European countries were to (1) Confer and Determine their needs on a continental basis; (2) show what resources they could put into a common pool for economic rebuilding; (3) stabilize their currencies; and (4) try to remove trade barriers so that goods could flow freely throughout the continent. With the assistance of the Marshall Plan, Western Europe began to recover from the ravages of war. Marshall's effort to include the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe in this grand design was rejected by Moscow. As Western Europe rebuilt, Europe was divided both economically and ideologically, and conflicting politics soon laid the ground for "The Cold War". When it became evident that the gap between Eastern and Western Europe would not be bridged, and that the Western European states feared for their safety, Marshall was one of the leaders who created the North Atlantic Treaty Organization which has ensured the security of the West. The establishment of NATO in 1949 achieved a balance of power in Europe that endured until the end of the Cold War.

These funds are for expansion of programs that train nurses, to establish more facilities for nursing students and add the opportunities for nursing education at community based organizations. If the bill is enacted the Commissioner of Education, Health and President of Higher Education Services Corporation can identify shortages in New York and dispatch some trained nurses students under this program. He can also dispatch teachers to train nursing students at any facility that does not have enough staff. The bill is sponsored mainly by Scozzafava. Other co-sponsors are Giglio, Bacalles and Errigo. There are also other multisponsors who are involved. These include Mc Donough, Miller, Oaks, Quinn, Burling, Barclay, Kolb, Finch, Tedisco, Raia and Sayward. However like any other bill, there are those who oppose the bill. The union of workers is one of them. They feel it will be financial blackmailing to get people into a profession that they are not even interested in. If this bill can get financing from the state budget, other organizations will try to do the same. in the event there will be raising of taxes to cater for this funds. This will lead to public outcry and more opposition towards the bill. The main aim of the bill is to provide funds and grants for nursing education It will support both public and private baccalaureate and graduate nursing education program. This bill is also supposed to increases training programs rather than offsetting existent expenditures. This funding will also sustain the nurse educators as they offer teaching services. This funding ensures that more residents are recruited into the nursing professional and they get retained in the profession. This bill also targets older nursing students who may be experiencing problems in getting loans due to debt obligations. This program will lead to draining funds of an organization. It needs to step up and increase ways of getting revenue. The individual organization has to strategize and work closely with the government so that the state can set aside some funds in its budget. If the state does not chip in, the involved sponsors have to chip in more to provide for this program. There are both positive and negative impacts. Residents may register for this program for personal purposes like getting financial income while they are not interested in providing the services. The number of student enrolled may be so many such that the organization may not be able to cater for all of them. Some residents may enter into a career that they are not interested in and not of their choice because of the free funds. This may make them to provide poor services wherever they will be attached. This may lead to erosion of the image of the health care organizations where they will work and consequently increase in mobility of the population. On the positive side, there will be more workers in the healthcare system therefore relieving the already overburdened workers. There will be a great improvement in service delivery. This will lead to reduced infant and adult mobility at hospitals due to lack of personalized care and attention. There will be more access to nursing education within institutions of higher learning in New York State. Due to increased workforce there will be more time created for those nurses who are working and so they can spend more time for their families. The job will be more interesting because nurses who are interested to further their careers have funds allotted for them. This will lead to provision of high quality services at hospitals and other health care organizations. This bill is not good because it will cause competition among other professionals and they may also be forced to make theirs with provisions like this bill. Other faculties like engineering can claim shortage and get organizations to sponsor them. If there is no enough funds that means the state has to chip in which means more expenditure of state resources and increase of tax that will have a big impact on the taxpayer. Many institutions will get facilities to provide for this nursing profession and this may lead to an overproduction of nurses. Residents may get into the nursing profession to get these scholarships as a way of income and therefore this will distract the original cause of the bill. Due to the over load in the number nurses in the healthcare system. This will lead to lowering of their wages stripping the existent benefits so that the healthcare system can be able to pay the new increased workforce. There are many different species of schistosomes of which Schistosoma haematobium, S. mansoni, and S. japonicum clinically important parasites that infect humans. Schistosoma haematobium , commonly called urinary schistosomiasis, dwells in the vesical veins surrounding the urinary tract and therefore mammal host usually excretes its eggs in urine. It is found throughout most of Africa and in parts of Wester n Asia. Two species, S. mansoni and S. japonicum cause intestinal schistosomiasis. S. mansoni usually occupies the mesenteric veins around the large intestine,while S. japonicum usually occupies the mesenteric veins around the small intestine. Gonochorism is a reproductive strategy that describes a sexually reproducing species in which there are two distinct sexes. It is a very unique characteristic exhibited by schistosomes and thus this unusual physiological state managed to raise considerable amount of curiosity amongst parasitologists over the past two decades. Loker (2006) in his most recent study has put forward a hypothesis to address the foundattion of schistosome gonochorism. He says that first, schistosomes were derived from hermaphroditic ancestors; second, the potential for gonochorism appeared in the spirorchiids, most notably with Griphobilharzia; and third, 'true gonochorism' appeared when schistosomes invaded their endothermic hosts (birds and mammals). The evolution of separate genders was supposedly beneficial in providing optimal genetic diversity against the sophisticated immune system of warm-blooded vertebrate hosts. Loker (2006) also suggest that the segregation of two genders was determined by the s pecialization of each gender for a limited set of 'domestic task' and this was further backed by the gender associated gene expression profiling study by (Hoffman et al. 2002). It was concluded that males primarily looks after the transportation while females concentrate on egg production. In such an interaction schistosomes, once paired, the male and the female worms remains in this state for a long time and the mating is assumed to be monogamous (Reed 1990). The population advocate takes it upon himself/herself to see to the welfare condition of these people. The duty of advocacy should not be left to individuals and welfare organizations. It should be the collective responsibility of everyone as these people are also part of our society. People with disabilities have needs such as housing, treatment, short and long-term medical care, education, probation, and domestic violence. As an advocate, I can play a role by volunteering to take anybody with disability around me for treatment and ensure that he/she is treated like other patients. This is possible because the film has such complicated characters, such as the main character Ada, who have intricate reasons for carrying out their actions. Campion created a film with a complex storyline that has no clear, easily extracted meaning. I believe that most critics have missed the film’s point when they try to argue what Ada’s expression of her gender and sexuality means. I would like to argue that while Ada does find a solution to the question of her identity and sexuality, this solution is not the feminist ideal of overcoming the status of Other and becoming a fully liberated woman that some reviewers claim it is. Nor is her solution an acceptance of the gender ideology prescribed by patriarchal society. Instead, Ada assumes a complex identity that falls somewhere in between these two extremes. The Piano demonstrates that although gender identity theories are complex themselves and help provide understanding, they fail to accurately and completely describe a particular person’s gender identity and sexuality because these can be combinations of many, perhaps even contradictory, factors. A Description of Christian Teachings about the Roles of Men and Women The family is our basic social unit. It is the smallest and most common group in our society. It is found in every country and in every age throughout history. Sociologists often distinguish between two types of family. The first is the 'nuclear' family which is where husband and wife live alone with their children. The second is the 'extended' family, which consists of several generations possibly living in the same house and having relatives living in the neighbourhood. Christians believe that family is of great importance. In Genesis it says: "Living as a family prevents loneliness." Christians also belive it is their duty to care for all their relatives, including the elderly. Showing respect to each family member is of paramount importance, 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone does not take care of his relatives, especially the members of his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." In the book of Ruth it says that families must show loyalty to one another. The Bible shows that God intended, right from the beginning that men and women should join together for life as couples. The bond between a man and a woman produces new life when children are born, and this way God's creation continues. The Bible makes it clear that marriage should be taken very seriously, Genesis 2:18, "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him." One reason for Christians marrying is that they can provide a stable background which helps people to cope with problems. It prepares... ...'t unfair because you have to get things for yourself. You can not fall back on other people you have to become independent. With choice comes consequence, good or bad, but the way you handle these consequences determines your level of maturity. Nowadays, people in the Christian Society are beginning to change roles, and men and women are becoming more equal. Many Christian parents have accepted changes in society and have adapted to them. Both men and women go to work, there are also some house husbands. There are different roles in society which are beginning to be shared by both men and women such as male equivalent maids. Some children in one parent families even have to take the role of a parent if a relative becomes ill. They have to grow up quickly and take on the burdens of holding a family unit together.
